Skills, Assets, & Abilities
- Knowledge of computer hardware architecture, programming themes, and historical understanding of programming language use. Current proficiency in C++.
- C.A.D. software experience. Proficiency in Solidworks (Certified Associate) and Fusion 360.
- 3D printing experience. Use, repair, and networking of different brands and sizes of FFF machines.
- Broad comprehension and daily use of Microsoft Office suite of products and Google Sheets and Docs.
- Understanding of cars, automotive technologies, and hands-on applications of vehicle repair skills.
- Experienced with most forms of hand and power tools through work history and hobbies.

PolyUnity Tech, St John’s, NL, 2020
- Media
- Built and performed troubleshooting on multiple brands, types, and sizes of FFF 3D printers.
- Networked 3D printers with customized Linux OS micro-computers to provide more efficient and remote access and authority over 3D print farm facilities in multiple cities.
- Modeled and 3D printed prototype replacement parts and custom solutions for Newfoundland, Ontario, and U.S. hospitals – from mundane, out of production parts to custom, multi-process simulation products.
- Designed, manufactured, and met with stakeholders to create a custom Pfizer BioNTech vaccine vial tray for improved Covid-19 vaccine transport, distribution, and administration throughout Newfoundland. Summary media post here.
Property Management/Landlord
Owner, Ottawa Valley, Ontario, 2013 – 2021
- Media for one property site
- Created multiple partnerships to build a multi-unit, residential rental real estate portfolio.
- Research and analysis of market enabled leveraging smaller properties into higher-density properties in areas of high occupancy demand while catering to low time-demand tenants.
- Self-managed with self-repair, coordination of skilled trades, and capital improvement scheduling while keeping a cash-flow positive budget.
- Subsequent partnerships have succeeded in leveraging earned knowledge to enable an increasingly mentorship role while giving new partners the hands-on role in growing a property portfolio.
Team Lead Realtor
Royal LePage Team Realty, Ottawa, Ontario, 2006 – 2020
- Developed a team of high-performing realtors and administrators culminating in being the top 1% of almost 18,000 realtors at Royal LePage across Canada for eight years and in the top 3% otherwise.
- Almost 2,000 transactions and many inspections in rural and urban environments provided a practical understanding of building systems, materials, and construction techniques from early 1900’s to today.
- Daily presentations and progress updates to team members and customers.
- Managed opening of bricks-and-mortar office to serve core geographic region of operations.
- Designed, implemented, and supervised branding, marketing, and accounting systems.
- Created customer and client feedback systems and integrated them into business flow with metrics.
- Refined time management skills with the need to track concurrent floating deadlines.
- Conflict-resolution skills actualized through balancing fiduciary duties to parties with competing interests.
- Lead-by-example style honed through training and improving communication to better motivate team.
- Implemented strategies to increase team members’ responsibility in assigned roles. As the business matured, this gave each team member more accountability in preparation business handover.
- Ability to delegate duties was a key attribute to transition from single operator to team lead.

- Installed fencing for special events (city sponsored, retail, corporate, and private) and construction sites.
- Promoted to be responsible for site deliveries as well as being part of team installations.
- On departure to return to university, an open-ended job offer was extended.
Facilities/Maintenance/Driver
Great Canadian Casinos, Greater Vancouver, BC, 2001 – 2004
- Coordinated special event large truck operations, casino equipment repair and installation, building maintenance, off-site equipment rental and installation, and aspects of shipping/receiving/warehousing.
- Company’s rapid expansion during this time provided insights into how job role definitions are split and refined to satisfy a growing company’s need for standardization and consistency across locations.
- Alternating between multiple roles within the company provided a greater sense of the workings required in a large business environment.
- Unique working environment required front-end, customer facing skills during casino operation, back-of-house cognizance of security protocols and operations, and management skills for warehouse staff.
Part-Time Research Aide
ESSA Technologies Ltd, Vancouver, BC, 2003-2005
- Administer accessed to University of British Columbia library system during undergraduate education.
- Sourced and provided duplication of research materials as sole contractor.
- Operated under short notice request and quick fulfillment deadlines.
Promotional Material Installer

- Installed promotional materials throughout University of British Columbia campus with daily monitoring of approximately 150 installation points.
Fundraiser
Starsky Enterprises, Vancouver, BC, 2001
- Hired as an independent agent for a promotional advertising agency. Represented Mothers Against Drunk Driving and the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. Regularly went door to door to represent the charities. Employment at Starsky allowed for an improvement in quick thinking skills and ice breaking techniques.
Tree Planter
Outland Reforestation Inc, Northern Ontario, 2001
- Tree planter in where remuneration was a direct reflection of personal production.
- Re-defined my ability to self-motivate and ingrained the importance of self-discipline to attain goals in ever-changing, challenging, remote locations were necessary keys to success.
- Learned to set-up/tear-down camp-site base stations, planning ahead for an independent work day in wilderness isolation, and the capabilities of mental fortitude in dealing a challenging work environment.
Framing Assistant
Nicolini Construction & Engineering Ltd., Ottawa, Ontario, 2000
- Hired as a general laborer at a commercial site. Rapid progression to assistant to the unilingual, French, framing crew and key employee in coordinating between French and English unilingual crews.
- Learned operation and maintenance of power tools and gained experience with carpentry techniques which furthered later at residential construction site work employment.
Customer Service Representative
Limeydale Farms, greater Ottawa area, 1994-1999
- Hand-picked, packed, and learned about a variety of different produce as well as sourcing non-local produce.
- Operated produce stalls through the greater Ottawa area and surrounding municipalities including delivery, set-up, and operation of stalls at day-long pop-up specialty markets up to an hour from the farm.
Owner
Oldford Lawn Care & Maintenance, North Dundas, Ontario, 1995-1998
- Operated property management business for real estate sellers, maintaining houses and yards.
- Coordinated skilled trades where needed and collecting rents for tenanted properties.
